The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.

Audiences can expect learning which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
